lately i find myself wandering the streets of Gib in search of new haunts since my favorite shop closed for the summer... and the other day i decided to visit a nondescript little shop i so often take for granted and have probably passed by a million times before...a hole-in-the-wall antiques shop full of dusty, rusty treasures :) the kind i like ;)
this shop is always open and anyone can just come in and look at all the stuff they have on display. i heard someone doing some woodwork at the back of the shop, most likely doing some restoration but otherwise, i was free to roam the nooks and crannies bursting with goodies from the past :)
vintage postcards of ladies in all manners of being undressed ;)
b&w pictures of lovely ladies, lots of vintage ephemera, polaroid sunglasses, brass buttons and...
old Gib postcards, of course...
but my eye was caught by some bling! a silver and turquoise bib necklace!and here's another one with matching earrings too!
i am also in love with this brass (not sure if it is indeed brass) planter...love me some blue glass!
there is even this gorgeous Art Deco wall light :)
and for lovers of all things industrial... a grinder and a cute fan!
there is even more goodness as i checked out the second floor :)
i didn't buy anything as they were either too big for our flat or that i didn't need them at this time (like the bib necklace that i had a crush on)... maybe i'll ask that as a gift this christmas... hhmmmm ;)
for now the demons are appeased ;)
